It looks like there is a lot of variety in these layers. I wonder if looping the sequence back in reverse would be an interesting way to make the evolution of your eyes feel smooth. The liquify effect makes your eyes appear to nod, and reversing them back might make them look like they travel back up and merge back into the red effect. Very dynamic GIF, nice work.
