This image is from an Anime ( Japanese film ) called Demon Slayer. I was using liquify to make it seem like the character was activating a special move, just like anime characters would. Also made his color gradually go from light to dark like if he slowly was transforming into being evil. Had lots of fun with the layers in this project, and actually sent it to a friend.
It's nice to see some use of sequencing starting here, thinking of the frames as progressive as one leads into the next. GIFs like these open up lots of doors for considering nice and simple progressive gestures that can feel almost narrative. It's good to see your sensitivity to these possibilities as we add new effects and layer tools in our next project.
