This course blog is where we communicate as a group, share responses to assignments, and post our work. You are required to publish posts according to assignments found on Moodle, and are encouraged to share images, make comments, and pose public questions throughout the semester.
It may help for me to see the PS layers for this project to help analyze the pros and cons. On the surface, your movie poster needs more of a sense of depth. Much of this assignment's technical lesson addressed the ways in which layers and effects can work together to create a sense of photographic and representational truth, even as the image sources are from disparate sources. Regarding sources, the assignment requires at least 6, along with the additional text layer. This project is an example of the ways in which keeping up with our work, working right alongside the rest of the class, meeting deadlines, and participating in demos would have helped to flesh out these issues and improve the work along the way. I do hope that exposure to Photoshop has opened up some creative doors for you.
